I'd say my experience was much better than the one Thomas had.  I was in a group of 6 and all of us were fired up on our dinners.  I had the Greek Pork Chops and they were excellent.  I normally don't eat pork or beef, just because I know it's not that great for you.  Occasionally, I'll splurge and I'm glad I did here.  My brother in law had the brisket and was happy with his meal.  A couple others had a Walleye special and were pleased as well.  I have heard that their Mexican is so-so, but you can't do everything great.  Their comfort food is really good and their desserts were artery clogging delight.

I'd recommend this place anytime.  The staff is really friendly and the interior is OK, but we were all very happy with the experience.

This place was actually a pleasant surprise in little New Buffalo!  When you walk in you feel like you are walking into a fancier farm house somewhere in the Midwest.  We felt welcome and were seated right away in a back room where there were a few other people eating.  Our waitress came rather quickly to take our drink order and brought them out just as fast.  We then ordered, I ordered the waitresses recommendation between my choices, so I went with the Hot Chicken Salad which was grilled chicken tossed with sauteed veggies, tortellini and a creamy Parmesan sauce over greens, Missy ordered the Spicy Southwest Wrap, Jeff had the Chicken Parmesan and Fred had the Chicken Fromage.  The highlight was definitely the Chicken Fromage...it was a fried chicken breast topped with stewed tomatoes, Bleu cheese and melted Swiss cheese.  It was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had, the chicken was juicy and the topping was just delicious!  YUM!  My pasta was okay...the pasta was totally flavorless, but everything else worked out okay.  And Missy and Jeff's meals were good, as well, they both were pleased, I actually tried Missy's and it was DELICIOUS!  We will definitely be coming back here when we come back this way!

It's probably been 9 years since I've been to Hannah's and not much has changed as far as the menu, atmosphere or service.  MK, Aidan and I stopped there for lunch on the way to South Haven for the weekend. (08/01/08).  It actually was very empty for a Friday afternoon lunch but that was okay by us.

We ordered our appetizer, the Bacon 'n Cheddar Potato Skins when they arrived were were pretty pleased with them.  What we weren't pleased with is that in a restaurant that was butt-empty is that the waiter didn't pace out the lunch order and so our meals came within 2 minutes of our appetizer.  Nothing irks me more than that.  Waiters can totally control the pacing of the orders and meals and this guy didn't even bother!!

I had the Canadian Jack Chicken sandwich which was a grilled chicken breast with ham and pepper jack cheese.  It was pretty good and it came with seasoned fries which were tasty, hot and crispy.

MK had the Cheeseburger with bacon and she said it came a little more done than she'd prefer (she's Medium for burgers) and although they clearly post that they cook burgers to Medium Well, you CAN order them a different way.  Unfortunately the cooks don't have to listen to that, I guess.

The waiter WAS attentive in refilling our diet pepsi's, but beyond that he was pretty much not there.

It's good food, don't get me wrong, however, they need to work on the pacing of the meal with the waitstaff and also, they need to lighten up on the cook the burgers to the point of leather mentality.  It may be some law on the books, but as you'll read in my next review, at least in Michigan you CAN get a burger the way you want.

OK, I'll jump on this one. We took a recommendation for "good basic fare" and drove into New Buffalo for Hannah's. Our meal was good, certainly not great, and the service was all over the place, not in a good way. Hannah's seems to employ every young person in New Buffalo under 19 as runners, bus boys and greeters. Unfortunately all of the extra help does not mean that your waiter or the kitchen are any more efficient. Our waitress stopped by for a drink order within 10 seconds of our butts hitting our chairs - we weren't ready. You can guess what happened next - nothing. 10 minutes later we finally flagged her down, and I made the mistake of ordering a margarita. Yes, I know, the sour mix is usually flavorless corn syrup. Nonetheless, I was looking forward to the sweet with the salt, and a little teguila kick. All I can say is yuck.
The food was good, and our mushroom bruschetta to start was a little over rich. I had the ribs for my meal and was unimpressed. I did have a taste for tangy sweet bbq, and the ribs did the trick. Don't go out of your way for them. The steamed vegetables that came with the ribs were mush and inedible. My spouse made a better choice with the pork tenderloin, but make sure you ask for the gravy on the side!
So the three stars go for one and a half good entrees, and otherwise a good looking menu. I just picked the wrong thing, I think.
